About Me
Hi, I’m Miriam!
I write lyrical flash, short fiction, and creative nonfiction. These days, I write full time, though for most of my life I worked as a geriatric speech-language pathologist (my patients were geriatric, not me—well, until recently). After decades of helping others find and form words, I’m now bringing forth my own.
Apart from writing, I work as an editor at Under the Sun: A Journal of Creative Nonfiction, run a literary book club in my hometown, and facilitate and teach writing workshops.
When I’m not writing, you’ll find me on my meditation pillow, yoga mat, curled up with a good book, hiking the Israel Trail, visiting my 94-year-old father in Toronto, and spending precious time with family and friends— including three lovable granddaughters.
